SLC Architect

Prior to forming SLC Architect in 2013, Sabrina spent the previous eleven years designing, drawing, and managing high-end custom residential projects with another local custom residential architecture firm on the barrier islands surrounding Charleston.

Sabrina grew up in a family whose business was construction, giving her a unique understanding of the building process involved in making an architectural design become reality. She jokes that her father "hated architects," inspiring her to be one that both clients and contractors were excited to work with. She began her journey at Virginia Tech, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2003. Sabrina puts her entire heart into designing dream homes for her clients that they are proud to own and happy to live in.

Sabrina focuses her practice on high-end custom residential architecture in the Charleston area, mainly on the barrier islands and waterfront properties in Charleston and Berkeley counties.  Her passion when she begins a new project is to work tirelessly to capture and maximize the best views possible, as she feels bringing the inside out and the outside in are what really make homes live and breathe in the Lowcountry. She feels outdoor living spaces are equally as important as the interior of the home.

At SLC Architect, we are involved from the beginning to the end of your home's journey, beginning the process in a consultation with a potential client and following the project through construction. Sabrina starts by listening to each client's visions and dreams about their new home and studying the site before diving into the first initial design concepts. Once the conceptual design is close to completion, we submit to local architectural review boards if required and start on the construction documents required for construction. From this process, pricing with your builder begins, followed by final detailing and completion of structural engineering for a permit set of documents. Optional services of interior architecture are also available. Once construction begins, Sabrina follows through with the builder and homeowner, honing the details and answering questions along the way until completion.
